Description

If you’re after a slice of rural paradise on the scenic island of Kefalonia, then a quiet break at Villa Kohili is just the ticket. Perched on the edge of the island’s rugged coastline, it’ll be hard to snap up better views of the glistening Ionian Sea than at Villa Kohili. Set at the foot of the sprawling valley of Svoronata, you’re surrounded by lush fields, olive groves, and orchards galore that trace the region’s rugged coves and untouched bays. Just down the road, you’ll find the village of Svoronata, where you’ll find a sprinkle of restaurants and cafes serving up sumptuous delicacies, delicious coffee, and local pastries. Just fifteen minutes away is the thriving town of Argostoli, with a bustling restaurant and bar scene to tickle your taste buds. For a slice of history, ten minutes by car are the impressive Castle of St. George and St. Andreas Monastery. If you’re after some more stunning beaches, Avithos, Megalipetra, and Ammes are close by, to name just a few.

That morning coffee never tasted so good when enjoyed in the glorious gardens circling the villa. You could spend hours unwinding on the outdoor sofa or sun loungers, all while gazing out over the phenomenal coastal panoramas, preferably whilst sipping a cocktail or two. If you’re after some me-time, hop in the sparkling swimming pool for a peaceful morning swim. Dinner time at Villa Kohili is a real treat, with an intimate alfresco dining area for feasts and drinks whilst watching the incredible landscape get painted with golden hues from the dreamy evening sunsets.

The beige stone exteriors and terracotta roofs are a charming sight, and they beautifully match the traditional Ionian architecture of the island. Paired with wide floor-to-ceiling windows and doors, the interiors are flooded with gorgeous natural sunlight. The open-plan living space overflows with style and sophistication, painted in lavish shades. We’re in love with the modern touches, from the plush sofa to the sleek dining table to the minimalist décor and marble tile flooring. A chic kitchen blends into the space too, with glossy cabinets matching its high-end appliances. The perfect size for a small family, the master double bedroom has a terrace, and the smaller bedroom with a large single bed has a balcony; both share a shower room.
