When we picture a relaxing Croatian escape, the stunning Villa Sea Dreams I instantly comes to mind. Nestled in the picturesque town of Mlini on a verdant hillside, the views overlooking the glistening Adriatic Sea and over Mlini Bay will take your breath away. With spellbinding panoramas at every turn, wake up each morning to sweeping views over the Dubrovnik Rivera. Mlini is a gem in itself, with a pretty pebble stone beach which edges calm blue waters that are perfect for swimming. The harbour and promenade are packed with quaint cafes and local bistros offering quality seafood. Etched in history is the city of Dubrovnik, just a fifteen-minute drive away and crowded with crumbling churches, historic plazas and ancient monuments.

Originally a traditional Dalmatian farmhouse, the owner has lovingly renovated the villa and managed to maintain its authentic character whilst adding in a modern flair. On the outside, you’re transported back in time with rustic pebble brickwork, stone pillars, and vibrant green window shutters and doors. The living area is a bright and contemporary contrast, with shabby-chic furniture, chandelier lighting fixtures, and pops of colour in the décor. The kitchen joins the open-plan space, where the white cabinetry is in a traditional rustic cut with a country-style cooker and the breakfast bar is crafted from local stone. All of the furniture has been handmade by a local carpenter, which radiates a sense of local life throughout the property. Upstairs you’ll find three double bedrooms, with eight people being able to sleep comfortably, with a sofa bed also in the living room that can be used on request.

After a busy day of sightseeing, the best way to unwind is on the terrace looking out over the scenic vistas, or with a hop in the jacuzzi. The best chill spot is the sparkling pool, which directly overlooks the glistening coast, where you can enjoy morning swims to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. With ample sun loungers across the terraces and poolside, there’s plenty of space to soak up the sun. If you’d rather cool down in the shade, there are two traditional Dubrovnik-style pergolas featuring shabby-style wooden dining and lounge furniture. You can even enjoy lunch straight from the grill, with a delightful brick barbecue at your disposal.
